Supporting Disability Disclosure

Employees are an integral part of a business. They bring diverse skills and experiences that allow businesses to thrive in today’s competitive market. With growing talent shortages, businesses are prioritizing inclusion to improve employee morale and retention and increase productivity. A key aspect of inclusion is supporting disability disclosure in the workplace.

This course is designed to support employers in building knowledge and confidence to be able to have respectful and well-informed discussions during disclosure. It offers:  

  • An enhanced understanding of factors that affect the decision and timing of disclosure for applicants and employees.  
  • An awareness of the risks and benefits of disclosure at each stage of the employment process.   
  • Foundational knowledge and resources on employment legislation. 
  • Strategies for effective communication during disclosure and accommodation discussions.  

Course Delivery

This course is delivered online and can be completed at your convenience in about 2 hours. It offers information, strategies, and downloadable resources. Successful participants receive micro-credentials which can be posted on social media channels like LinkedIn or websites to demonstrate your organization’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
