What’s Old is New Again

Since Adam first connected with MentorAbility, it was clear that he loved baking and wanted to gain some hands-on experience in the baking field. He was especially keen on seeing how pretzels were made and learning how to bake those little breaded wonders! Fortunately, MentorAbility was able to connect with Lori and Sam at Southcentre Mr. Pretzel and secure Adam a mentorship making his favourite salty snack.

Adam spent an afternoon at Mr. Pretzel with Lori and Sam, learning the ins-and-outs of pretzel making – from making the dough to forming and cutting the classic pretzel shapes. At first, getting the perfect pretzel proved difficult for Adam, but by the end of his mentorship, he was getting the hang of crafting amazing pretzels and gaining confidence in his work.

Sam and Lori proved excellent mentors, making Adam feel welcome and comfortable during his MentorAbility Experience, and he would like to thank them for the wonderful time he had learning how to make pretzels, setting up the shop, and for getting to take home complementary pretzels.  Adam thinks that a career in baking could be interesting for him.

Great work Adam! We look forward to hearing about your future baking projects!
