Mentorability Experience Stories: Lito & Nicolas

Westin Ottawa was so impressed with Nicholas during his mentorship that he was quickly offered a job, and is now working in one of the nicest hotels in Canada’s capital city.

Welcoming Opportunity

Nicolas is a very social person and always enjoys being with people, and so ICSS knew that MentorAbility would be a great way to explore jobs that involve engaging the public.

ICSS used the MentorAbility program to engage The Westin Ottawa to arrange a mentorship for Nicolas in a Greeter role and they were more than happy to accommodate.

When Nicolas arrived at The Westin Ottawa, he was really made to feel like one of the team – even getting his own uniform for the day! He was mentored by Westin Ottawa employee, Lito, and participated in welcoming arriving customers and providing them with free bottles of water. During his mentorship, Nicolas felt “great rapport” with Westin Ottawa employees and said he had a “great” MentorAbility Experience overall.

Westin Ottawa was so impressed with Nicholas during his mentorship that he was quickly offered a job, and is now working in one of the nicest hotels in Canada’s capital city. In fact, The Westin Ottawa have expressed their gratitude to ICSS and MentorAbility for connecting them to Nicolas because he has been such a great addition to the team.

Way to go, Nicolas! Congratulations on the new job and incredible feedback.
